Terrorism may spread through al-Qaeda- linked groups in Central Asian nations where corruption and repression is “rampant,” said U.S. National Intelligence Director John Negroponte.“Central authority in one or more of these states could evaporate as rival clans or regions vie for power,” Negroponte told the Senate Intelligence Committee in Washington.
