Two workers from a Sri Lankan aid group seen linked to Tamil Tiger rebels resurfaced on Wednesday after being reported kidnapped, but eight others were still missing and diplomats said the alleged abductions might hit key peace talks. The rebels have accused the government of being behind the abduction of 10 Tamils Rehabilitation Organization (TRO) workers and have said the incident threatened their attendance at peace talks with the government in Switzerland later this month.
