An elite anti-kidnapping unit searched an area of southern Colombia on Monday for a state governor’s brother who was abducted during the weekend, apparently by leftist rebels, police said. Roberto Claros, brother of Caqueta Gov. Juan Carlos Claros, was kidnapped with five other people Saturday night from his country home near the state capital of Florencia, 235 miles southwest of Bogotá, Caqueta police commander Col.
