A British soldier was killed in Iraq after coming under enemy fire, the Ministry of Defence said. The soldier was a member of a patrol in the southeastern Maysan province, which came under small arms fire at 0840 GMT, the MoD said. The soldier, from the Seventh Armoured Brigade, serving with the First Battalion The Highlanders, died as a result of his injuries. Full Story
