Pakistani authorities have barred opposition leaders from visiting the site of a recent US missile strike which killed 18 people. The attack, which apparently targeted al-Qaeda’s deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri, has sparked a series of protests. Politicians had wanted to offer condolences, but the government closed off the region near the Afghan border. The move came as Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz was due to meet the US defence secretary in Washington. Mr Aziz is expected to raise the incident in talks with US President George Bush planned for Tuesday. Full Story
