Italy has formally asked the United States to allow Italian prosecutors to question 22 purported CIA operatives they accuse of kidnapping an Egyptian cleric from a Milan street. Justice Minister Roberto Castelli signed the request on Saturday, the Justice Ministry said. There was no indication, however, that the United States would make the operatives available. And Castelli and Premier Silvio Berlusconi have suggested they may be unwilling to push the case, which has hurt relations between Italy and the United States. Full Story
