U.S.-led coalition and Afghan forces killed six suspected militants during fighting in southern Afghanistan, the U.S. military said Saturday. The battle began when militants fired on a joint Afghan-coalition patrol in volatile Uruzgan province on Friday, a military statement said. An unspecified number of insurgents who survived the battle fled the area, the statement said. There were no Afghan or coalition casualties. Full Story
