One of the crossings on the Colombia-Ecuador border was cut off when leftist guerrillas blew up a bridge, regional officials said Wednesday. The acting governor of the southern province of Putumayo, Fabian Alfonso Bernavis, said the bridge was between the small towns of Puerto Vega and El Puendi. The blast that took out the bridge also damaged eight dwellings belonging to peasants who live nearby, Bernavis said. Full Story
