The Bangladeshi government will ban more Islamist organizations as the militants of Jataat-ul-Mujahidden Bangladesh (JMB) put the country into a crossroads. Asadsuzzaman, a senior official of the Religious Affairs Ministry, told Xinhua on Thursday, “The back of the government is on the wall. For this the government is considering banning more Islamist organizations,” the official said. The government had banned three Islamist outfits of JMB headed by Shaikh Abdur Rahman and Harkatul Jihad Al-Islami (HUZI) as well as Jagrata Muslim Janata (JMJ) for their activities. Full Story
