Attacks across Iraq leave 22 dead

At least 21 Iraqis and a US soldier have died in one of the deadliest days of violence in the country since the election on 15 December. In the bloodiest incident, insurgents killed five policemen at a checkpoint near Baquba, losing six of their own fighters in the battle, police say.
