Authorities in Brazil say that more than 200 people are being held hostage in a prison in the country’s remote Amazonian jungle state of Rondonia. Rebellious inmates are demanding the return of one of their leaders, who was recently transferred to another prison. In April 2004, an uprising in the same jail left 14 inmates dead. Full Story
