Arab League Secretary General Amr Mussa rejected accusations he was concocting a deal to clear Damascus of the assassination of former Lebanese premier Rafiq Hariri. He described as “completely unfounded” accusations in Lebanon that the pan-Arab body was working on an initiative whereby the probe into the February murder would be closed in exchange for an end to assassinations that have been blamed by many on Syria. On Thursday, Anti-Syrian MP Wael Abu Faour had warned Mussa — who is attempting to ease tensions between Lebanon and Syria — that he was not welcome if his mission was aimed at clearing Damascus.Full Story
