The last of hundreds of weapons handed in by former separatist rebels in Indonesia’s Aceh were destroyed on Wednesday, fulfilling one of the most important conditions of a landmark peace agreement. An Indonesian general, a former rebel commander and the head of the Aceh Monitoring Mission (AMM) used circular saws to cut up the last of 840 automatic rifles, pistols and rocket launchers collected by the monitors.
