Bulgarian police have freed a British national from kidnappers who were demanding a ransom of around 65,000 euros (77,000 dollars), the interior ministry said. Two of the hostage-takers were arrested and one was shot and killed by police after he opened fire during the action late Tuesday, it said in a statement on Wednesday.
