The eldest son of an accused Al- Qaeda financier has been arrested in Canada at the request of the United States for allegedly planning to kill a US soldier abroad. Abdullah Khadr, 24, who had just returned to Canada after being detained for more than a year in Pakistan without charge, was arrested at his family’s apartment on Saturday, police said. Khadr was arrested on the grounds of a provisional warrant issued by the US Department of Justice after Washington requested the Canadian Court to allow his arrest for extradition purpose. Full Story
