Ugandan rebels shot dead eight people including a child in a daylight ambush in the remote north, the army said on Thursday. “Five fighters from the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) attacked a vehicle travelling in Lira district on Tuesday afternoon, killing eight adults and one infant,” said an army spokesperson.
