Troops gunned down six Islamic militants in a shootout in revolt-hit Indian Kashmir, an army official said. “We established contact with the militants early Wednesday and during the ensuing shootout we killed six of them,” army spokesman Colonel Hemant Juneja said, adding there were no casualties among the soldiers.
