A prominent anti-Syrian journalist and lawmaker was killed Monday in a bombing that targeted his motorcade, his close ally said. Gibran Tueni was one of three people killed in the explosion in a mostly Christian area of eastern Beirut, said Walid Jumblatt, a leading Lebanese politician. Police gave no immediate word on casualties, but an AP photographer saw three mutilated bodies after the explosion. At least 10 cars were destroyed in the blast in the industrial Mkalles area.
