An Egyptian man working for the U.S. military in Iraq and taken hostage by gunmen has been found shot dead, police said on Saturday. Lieutenant Colonel Muthana Ibrahim said the man, who worked as a translator at a U.S. military base, was found near the village of Hajaj, north of Tikrit, with identity papers in his pocket.
