Ground fire caused a military transport jet to crash in
Iraq in January, killing 10 servicemen in Britain’s largest single loss of life in the war, a top British official said Thursday. Defense Secretary John Reid told the House of Commons that investigators determined that hostile fire was the most likely cause of the crash of the C-130 Hercules north of Baghdad on Jan. 30.
