Colombia purchased a total of 25 tactical combat aircraft from Brazil’s Embraer in a deal valued at $234 million, authorities said on Wednesday. Defense Minister Camilo Ospina met with delegates from Embraer to sign the contract for the purchase, one of Colombia’s largest in recent years, according to ministry officials. The purchase of the 25 Super Tucano aircraft, which will be used to fight guerrillas and drug traffickers, was finalized after three months of negotiations. Full Story
