India on Wednesday successfully test-fired the land version of the BrahMos cruise missile from a test range in Orissa’s Balasore district in east India, Indian defense sources said. According to Indo-Asian News Service, the missile, which is jointly developed by India and Russia and takes its name from the Brahmaputra and Moskva rivers, has a range of nearly 300 km and carries a conventional warhead of 300 kg.
