Bomb wounds four in Afghanistan
A roadside bomb tore through a vehicle carrying NATO-led peacekeepers in a northern city Friday, wounding four Swedish soldiers and two Afghan civilians, officials said. A spokeswoman for the NATO force, Squadron Leader Annie Gibson-Sexton, declined to give the nationality of the soldiers, but police spokesman Sher Jan Durani and Qudrat Ullah, a spokesman for provincial Gov. Atta Mohammed Noor, said the four were Swedish. Stockholm has about 90 military personnel in the 12,000-member force. Gibson-Sexton said two of the four soldiers were “very seriously wounded” and all had been evacuated to a hospital in Mazar-e-Sharif.Full Story
