A collection of technology—low light cameras, fiber optic links and video analytics—will be brought together to protect the Port of Baltimore in a new technology project. Adesta LLC, an Omaha, Neb., systems integrator, began a $5.5 million contract with the Maryland Port Administration to design and install the security system at the port. The project will include the installation of a remote video surveillance system as well as enhancements to terminal perimeter security. The expected completion date for the project is fall 2006.
