State of emergency in France extended by 3 months

The French Cabinet approved a bill on Monday to extend the current state of emergency by three months, in a bid to curb the ongoing countrywide riots in which thousands of cars have been torched, officials said. Government ministers approved at a Cabinet meeting the bill which could extend the 12-day state of emergency decreed on Nov. 9 for three months. Full Story
