Syrian President Bashar Assad has agreed to respond positively to UN Security Council Resolution 1636, which calls on Damascus to cooperate fully with the UN probe team into the assassination of former Premier Rafik Hariri. Assad made the remarks during a meeting with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad al-Sabah in Damascus on Tuesday. Speaking from Kuwait, Sabah said: “President Assad briefed me on the positive response Syria will adopt toward UN Security Council Resolution 1636, especially that Syria wants to know the complete truth.” Full Story
