Colombian former militiamen to work as unarmed police helpers

Some 2,000 recently demobilized Colombian rightist militiamen, presumably ones not implicated in their organization’s cocaine-trafficking operations or massacres, will begin work next month as “civilian auxiliaries” attached to local police forces.
