An Argentine prosecutor on Thursday asked a judge to issue arrest warrants for 295 people who allegedly played a role in the clandestine imprisonment, torture and summary execution of suspected leftists at the Navy Mechanics School during the 1970s dictatorship. The naval academy on the capital’s outskirts was the biggest and most notorious of the 1976-83 regime’s unofficial prisons where thousands perished.
