Brazilian governments have failed to protect human rights over the past decade with killings and torture by police still widespread, Amnesty International says. Amnesty has presented a report to the United Nations Human Rights Committee in Geneva. On Wednesday, Amnesty planned to review the progress of a national plan safeguarding human rights which was introduced in Brazil back in 1996. Full Story
