Saudis Appoint A New Chief Of Intelligence
Saudi Arabia named Prince Muqrin bin Abdul Aziz as its head of intelligence on Saturday, nine months after the last spy chief resigned, the official Saudi Press Agency said. King Abdullah II issued a royal decree naming Prince Muqrin, the youngest of the surviving sons of the kingdom’s founder, King Abdul Aziz, as the head of the General Intelligence Presidency of the Gulf Arab state, which has been battling a wave of violence linked to Al Qaeda, the terrorist network.
