Afghan leader condemns ‘Taliban burning’, demands US inquiry

President Hamid Karzai condemned the alleged burning of the bodies of two suspected Taliban militants by US soldiers in Afghanistan, and demanded a quick US investigation into the case. Karzai said he had been “very much taken aback and very sorry” when General Karl Eikenberry, the top US general in Afghanistan, informed him of the allegations.
