A former Cabinet minister seen as President Vicente Fox’s favorite for the July 2006 elections, might lose the ruling party’s primaries this weekend and be forced out of the race, according to a poll on Wednesday. The Reforma newspaper poll of National Action Party members likely to vote in Sunday’s final round of presidential primaries put Santiago Creel way behind Felipe Calderon, a former energy minister who has clashed with Fox.
