Adelaida Bolivar was named Thursday to serve as Peru’s attorney general for the period 2005-2008, replacing Nelly Calderon. In response to questions about the corruption scandals that have plagued the current government over the past few days, Bolivar told journalists that she would remain alert to any acts of corruption and intervene in a timely manner to investigate them.
