Travellers bound for the United States encounted some long lineups but no flight delays at Pearson International Airport Tuesday as added American security measures kicked in. The new security, mandated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, requires passengers to provide additional data, such as a passport number, its country of origin and passport expiry date, as well as an address for the first night of stay in the States.
