Sri Lanka’s Tamil Tiger rebels have said a
European Union boycott of them had caused “irreparable damage” to the island’s Norwegian-backed peace process and asked member states to reconsider. The EU in a statement Tuesday said its members would refuse to meet visiting rebel delegations because of the group’s continued “terrorism” in Sri Lanka’s ethnic conflict. Full Story
