Two policemen have been hurt in Northern Ireland when they were ambushed by scores of Catholics hurling bricks and fireworks at them during a fire deliberately set at a gas station, police said. A policeman suffered a head injury and a policewoman was hurt in the leg when about 150 Catholics attacked their patrol which escorted firefighters to the fire on Andersonstown road in the western Catholic area of Belfast Saturday night.
