A group of Church of England bishops proposed that the church meet one day with Muslim clerics to apologize for a “long litany of errors” committed by the West in Iraq, including the 2003 invasion. The group of four bishops made the proposal in a report for debate within the church on how best to tackle terrorism, and a church spokesman said such a reconciliation meeting could be years down the road when Iraq stabilizes.
