Iraqi killed, seven wounded in minibus bombing

An Iraqi civilian was killed and seven others were wounded when a minibus exploded at a busy intersection in the centre of Hilla, some 100 kilometres (60 miles) south of Baghdad. In the capital itself, a truck driver and his assistant were gunned down as they prepared to deliver concrete blocks to protect polling stations being set up ahead of the October 15 referendum on a draft constitution, an interior ministry official said Tuesday. One other man was injured in the incident in the southern Dora district of Baghdad. Five mortar rounds also exploded around town, an interior ministry official said.Full Story
