An Iraqi civilian was killed and seven others were wounded when a minibus exploded at a busy intersection in the centre of Hilla, some 100 kilometres (60 miles) south of Baghdad. In the capital itself, a truck driver and his assistant were gunned down as they prepared to deliver concrete blocks to protect polling stations being set up ahead of the October 15 referendum on a draft constitution, an interior ministry official said Tuesday.
