Three Bangladeshi villagers were killed by Indian border guards after they had strayed across the border near the eastern Bangladesh town of Akhaura, an official said. “They were killed by BSF (Border Security Force) early this morning after they crossed into Indian territory from their border village of Hirapur,” said Bangladesh Rifles deputy commanding officer Shaikh Mahmudul Haq on Friday. “We learnt that three Bangladeshis were killed by BSF personnel, but we don’t know whether they were shot dead or hacked,” he told AFP, after private ATN Bangla television reported that four villagers were hacked to death.Full Story
