President Hosni Mubarak on Saturday said that combating terrorism was not confined to security agencies. In an interview with the Egyptian independent al-Masri el- Youm newspaper, to appear Sunday, Mubarak said terrorism became an international phenomenon disguised under the cloak of Islam. Such phenomenon should be addressed by the whole international community, said the President, noting that since the year 1986, he had been calling for the convocation of an international conference to fight terrorism. As for the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, Mubarak said that pullout was a step in the right direction. Full Story
