Fatah leader convicted on terrorism charges
An Israeli military court has convicted a member of the Palestinian Parliament on charges of helping carry out terrorist attacks. Husam Khader, who is a senior member of the ruling Fatah Party and a member of the Palestinian Parliament, was arrested by Israeli security forces more than two years ago. He was charged with transferring funds from the Lebanon-based Shiite militia Hezbollah to Fatah’s military wing, and of having prior knowledge of an attempt to dispatch a suicide bomber to an Israeli Army checkpoint.
