Iraq bomb kills two UK soldiers

Two British soldiers have been killed by a roadside bomb as they travelled in a convoy in southern Iraq. The blast took place about five miles east of the Shaibah airbase, in British-patrolled Basra province. The Ministry of Defence confirmed the pair, from multinational division South East area, died from their injuries at about 0830 BST (1130 local time). The MoD said it would not release details of the troops’ identities until their next of kin had been informed. Full Story
