Two British soldiers have been killed by a roadside bomb as they travelled in a convoy in southern Iraq. The blast took place about five miles east of the Shaibah airbase, in British-patrolled Basra province. The Ministry of Defence confirmed the pair, from multinational division South East area, died from their injuries at about 0830 BST (1130 local time).
