Police are questioning three men after their arrest last night under the anti-terrorism act. The men were arrested by armed police in the city of Newport, South Wales, near a hotel where EU foreign ministers are due meet next week. All the men are thought to be from the Newport area. The arrests were made in Chepstow Road, just a few miles from the Celtic Manor Hotel, where a high-level EU summit, hosted by Jack Straw, Foreign Secretary, will be taking place on September 1 and 2.
