Jordan hunts 6 suspects in rocket attack
The Jordanian police are continuing to sift through evidence from a rocket attack in this important commercial port, and a nationwide search for at least six suspects continued. Interior Minister Awni Yirfas said Saturday that the police had found the rocket launcher used in the attack in a workshop about eight kilometers, or five miles, from the port. Three Katyusha rockets were fired from the second floor of the building on Friday morning, apparently aimed at two U.S. Navy vessels docked at the port: the amphibious assault ship Kearsarge and the landing ship Ashland. The rockets missed the ships, but a Jordanian soldier was killed and a taxi driver wounded by the stray shots. Full Story
