SPOTLAND Stadium was evacuated after a suspected makeshift bomb was discovered in a cleaner’s dustcart. Unsuspecting Ray Irving picked up the device, which was hidden in a carrier bag, outside one of the exits and then spent half an hour carrying the package round the stadium in his dustcart before he spotted it had wires poking out and a battery attached to it. He alerted stadium manager Paul Swarbrick, who warned people to move away from the package and called the police at about 3.20pm on Thursday. Full Story
