Warning that Italy faces an “elevated risk” for a terror strike, security officials Monday announced exercises aimed at testing the nation’s response to an attack. The Interior Ministry said the assessment resulted from “examining the status of the investigations in Italy after the attacks in London and in Sharm el Sheik (Egypt).” The exercises will be held around Italy starting in September “with the aim of maintaining public order, of ensuring swift aid, correct information” and the quick launch of any investigation, the ministry said in a statement.Full Story
