A California man carrying a rifle and a revolver in his car was arrested as he tried to force his way into a parking garage near the United Nations headquarters, the UN said. The man, identified as Vernon Wilker from Salton City, California, was arrested by a US Secret Service agent outside the garage under the Millennium hotel Thursday morning and was handed over to New York police, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan’s spokesman, Stephane Dujarric, said.Full Story
