North Korea nuclear talks are put on hold

Diplomats trying to resolve the North Korean nuclear crisis yesterday said they would take a three-week break from the negotiations, after 13 days of talks and five draft agreements served only to highlight the continued gulf between Washington and Pyongyang.

Effectively taking the discussions into a fifth round, the six-party talks will reconvene on August 29 after the two protagonists have consulted their governments and further bilateral meetings have taken place. Full Story
