Sisters due in court today over 21/7 bomb bids

TWO women have been charged under anti-terror laws in the wake of the failed London suicide bombings, Scotland Yard said last night. Sisters Yeshshiembet Girma, 29, of Stockwell Gardens, Stockwell, London and Muluemebet Girma, 21, of Dorset Road, also Stockwell, are to appear at Bow Street Magistrates court today, accused of failing to disclose information. The women were arrested on 27 July, and have been charged under Section 38 of the Terrorism Act 2000. They are accused of “having information that they knew or believed might be of material assistance in securing the apprehension, prosecution or conviction of another person in the UK for an offence involving the commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism, failed to disclose that information as soon as reasonably practicable to a constable” between 21 July and 28 July.
