King Fahd of Saudi Arabia, who has died aged 84, leaves a significant but complex legacy for South and Central Asia, and the wider world. The king’s significance in the region was illustrated by the manner in which Afghanistan and Pakistan both responded to his death. Afghanistan announced three days of official mourning and Pakistan seven.
